Digital locks, fitted properly

A smart lock is only as good as the door it sits in and the alignment it was fitted at. We supply, mortice, wire, pair and register the lock before we leave, then show you how to add a user before we pack up the tools.

What you get

Six things worth having on a front door

Not every lock carries all six, and you almost certainly do not need all six. This is the menu we work from when we sit down with you.

Fingerprint

Capacitive sensor reads a registered print in under half a second and stores up to 100 users. The most common way our clients open their doors.

Mobile app

Pair the lock to your home network and unlock, check the log or issue a temporary code for a cleaner or contractor from anywhere.

Wide-angle viewer

A 3.5 inch or 10 inch panel shows who is at the door and captures a still whenever someone lingers or presses the bell.

Passcode and card

Numeric passcode with anti-peeping decoy digits, plus RFID cards for family members who prefer not to use a print.

Mechanical override

Every lock we fit keeps a concealed keyway and a nine-volt emergency contact, so a flat battery never leaves you outside.

Auto-lock timer

Set the lock to throw its bolts a few seconds after the door closes. Useful in houses with children who forget.

Reliability

Most lock problems are door problems

When a digital lock starts hesitating, the fault is rarely electronic. The leaf has settled, the strike is a hair out of line, and the motor is fighting friction it was never meant to fight. That is why we sell locks and doors together rather than treating them as separate purchases.

On a Sentinel door the mortice pocket, the wiring channel and the backset are cut at fabrication. On somebody else's door we will still fit a lock, but we measure the edge first and tell you honestly if it is a bad candidate.

  • Capacitive sensors chosen over optical for Malaysian humidity
  • Standard AA cells, never a proprietary battery pack
  • Low battery warning around two weeks before failure
  • User list retained through a full power loss

Three measurements and a photograph

  1. Door thickness

Measured at the edge, not through the moulding. Most digital locks work between 38mm and 60mm, and a thicker leaf needs a longer spindle kit.

  2. Backset

The distance from the edge of the door to the centre of the handle spindle. Usually 60mm or 85mm here. Get it wrong and nothing lines up.

  3. Existing mortice height

The lock case cavity already cut into the leaf. If it is close to the new case, the job takes an hour. If it is not, we may need to plate the door.

  4. A photograph of the edge

Send it to us on WhatsApp at +60 12-338 6047 before you buy anything. Two minutes of your time saves a wasted delivery.

Aftercare, batteries and what we do when one fails

Locks we supply carry a two year manufacturer warranty and a one year on-site labour cover from us. If a unit misbehaves inside that window we come out, and if it cannot be fixed on the spot we swap it and argue with the supplier ourselves rather than making you do it.

Outside warranty we still service what we sold. Battery contacts corrode, sensors get scratched, and the odd motor gives up after heavy commercial use. Call the office, describe the symptom, and we will tell you on the phone whether it is worth repairing.

What we will talk you out of

App-only locks with no keyway. Fingerprint readers on gates that sit in full afternoon sun. Anything that needs a working internet connection to open your own front door. There are good products in every category and a few that we simply will not put our name against.

Not sure your door can take one?

Send a photograph of the door edge with the three measurements from this page. We will tell you what fits before any money changes hands.
